HKIRC held “2014 Digital Marketplace – Would O2O open doors for local business?” Seminar and announced survey results on “Key Factors Impacting Purchasing Decisions on e-Shopping Websites in Hong Kong”

Organised by HKIRC, “2014 Digital Marketplace – Would O2O open doors for local business? Seminar held on 6 August 2014 at Cyberport was concluded with applause and success. The seminar, kickstarted by Mr. Daniel Lai, BBS, JP, Government Chief Information Officer, HKSAR Government, was attended by close to 450 participants who acquired first-hand market intelligence and explored proven best practice. At the event, HKIRC revealed a survey on “Purchasing Decisions on e-Shopping Websites in Hong Kong”, revealing the key factors which affect online purchase behavior, as well as public perception of .hk websites in terms of brand awareness and safety of online shopping. The survey indicates that the buying behaviour of local consumers has changed as more experience with the online shopping process is gained by both the buyers and sellers. Consumers now tend to check online before making a purchase in store, or vice versa.”

Marking its sixth iteration this year, the DMP seminar has evolved into one of industry’s premier events, gathering online business frontrunners, Internet industry leaders, leading enterprises and .hk customers from mabelle.hk, gogovan.com.hk; viss.hk, kites.hk and baiduhk.com.hk to share their successful experience and tips.
