HKIRC held “Smart City Business ─ Shaping Our Future” Seminar and announced survey results on “Would Smart Technologies Smarten up Hong Kong?”
Organised by HKIRC, the 8th Digital Marketplace Seminar themed the “Smart City Business ─ Shaping Our Future” held on 18 August 2016 at Cyberport was concluded with applause and success. The seminar, officiated by Ir. Allen Yeung, Government Chief Information Officer, OGCIO, HKSAR Government, was attended by nearly 500 participants who acquired first-hand market intelligence and explored new opportunities as well as best practices.
At the event, HKIRC announced the result of an online survey titled “Would Smart Technologies Smarten up Hong Kong?” which aimed to get better understanding on what Hong Kong people think Smart City would mean to them and to unveil the underlying opportunities for the local business community. The survey indicates Smart City would bring along massive business opportunities in Smart Technologies and the survey results echo the Government’s Smart City development blueprint.
