HKIRC participated in a wide range of charitable and community events, extending love and care to the underprivileged in the society. In recognition of our continued efforts in caring for the community, we have been awarded the Caring Organisation Logo by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) for ten consecutive years. As a responsible corporate citizen, HKIRC is actively concerned about and participates in environmental protection. In 2014, we were awarded CarbonSmart Program and Carbon Reduction Certificate logos presented by Hong Kong Productivity Council respectively to prove our substantial efforts on carbon reduction. In order to further reduce the energy consumption, we have replaced the T8 fluorescent light tubes with the environmentally friendly LED light tubes in December.
We are devoted to establishing a happy workplace and encouraging employees to lead a balanced life. In 2014, HKIRC received the Happy Organisation label presented by The Promoting Happiness Index Foundation. We hosted an array of employee activities like annual dinner, a stress-free massage workshop, AQ/EQ Training Workshop, lunch buffet gathering and the Open Day for family members of staff to visit our office in December.
Moreover, management including the CEO as well as department heads are proactive in listening to staff members in regular meetings and casual settings.
HKIRC employees and family members enjoyed a relaxing lunch buffet in Hotel ICON in November 2014.
