The Fifteenth Annual General Meeting of Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited
Hong Kong, 18 May 2017 – The Fifteenth Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited (HKIRC) was held successfully today. One Director was re-elected by members of the Demand Class and one Director was newly elected by members of the Supply Class at the AGM.
The Board of Directors of HKIRC consists of eight independent non-executive directors, four appointed by the Government, two elected by members of the Demand Class, and two elected by members of the Supply Class.
Prof. Erwin HUANG and Mr Eric FAN Kin Man, representing the Demand Class and Supply Class respectively, retired by rotation at the AGM. There were two candidates standing for election of each Demand Class and Supply Class respectively. Election for the Demand Class and Supply Class were conducted by voting via email or post in advance, or on-site voting during the AGM. The composition of the Board of Directors for Year 2017 is as follows:
