Hong Kong, 15 May 2023 – The 21st Annual General Meeting of the Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited (HKIRC) was successfully held on 12 May.
At the Annual General Meeting, HKIRC members exercised their right to vote on resolutions. All resolutions submitted to the members for approval were adopted, including the adoption of the audited financial statements and the directors’ and auditors’ reports, the re-appointment of KPMG, and the amendment to increase the total number of directors from not less than four but not more than eight to not less than four but not more than ten.
Regarding the appointment of Director for the Supply Class, Mr Gabriel Pang Tsz Kit retired at the Annual General Meeting and Mr Liu Binxing stood for election at the Meeting. As Mr Liu Binxing was the sole candidate, he was deemed to be automatically elected in accordance with Article 40 of the Articles of Association of HKIRC.
Regarding the appointment of Director for the Demand Class, Mr Leonard, CHAN Tik Yuen retired at the Annual General Meeting, and he stood for election at the Meeting. As Mr Leonard, CHAN Tik Yuen was the sole candidate, he was deemed to be automatically elected in accordance with Article 40 of the Articles of Association of HKIRC.
The Board of HKIRC currently consists of ten independent non-executive directors, with six appointed by the HKSAR Government, two elected by members of the Demand Class, and two elected by members of the Supply Class respectively.
