Mr Raymond Cheng is a seasoned IT professional and has established a long career in the financial industry for more than 35 years. He was the Group General Manager and Chief Operating Officer in the Asia Pacific region at HSBC, overseeing Information Technology, Operations, Real Estate, Procurement and Consulting Services. Currently, Raymond is holding a Senior Advisor position in QBN Capital Management Ltd. Besides, he has established strong connections with different IT professional bodies and the IT community in Hong Kong. He is a Non-Executive Director of Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited. He is the Chairman of Vocational Training Council Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology Advisory Committee and Chinese University Engineering FinTech Applied Research Academy Advisory Committee. He is a Council Member of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Group and Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency Governing Council. He also acts as a Director and provides advisory services to a few FinTech startups. Raymond is a Committee Member of the IT Steering Committee of Hospital Authority and Baptist Hospital. He also sits in some technology fund committees of the government. He is currently a Committee Member of the Data Governance Steering Committee of HKSTP. Mr Cheng is a Distinguished Fellow of Hong Kong Computer Society.
