Cybersec Training Hub

Cybersec Training Hub is a free self-learning platform which aims to lower the threshold for organizations to provide cybersecurity training to their employees, especially to help SMEs that lack cybersecurity talents to conduct relevant training, so as to enhance the awareness of cybersecurity among organizations and employees, reduce the cybersecurity risks of organizations from the source, and build Hong Kong into a safer cyber smart city.

PwC HK, a leading cyber security consulting firm, was commissioned by HKIRC to develop cyber security training content at Cybersec Training Hub. All training contents are from the perspective of cyber risks that employees may encounter on a daily basis. In a professional, user-friendly, interactive and easy-to-understand manner, the training simulates potential cyber risks in a real working environment and suggests corresponding prevention methods and the best way to work.

Cybersec Training Hub has already launched different training package for personnel in different job position such as Finance and Marketing, Human Resources, Marketing, Senior Management and general staff training. The HKTDC Hong Kong International Licensing Show on 19-21 April 2023

HKIRC will participate in the HKTDC Hong Kong International Licensing Show, which will take place from 19-21 April 2023 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The show is one of the most important licensing shows in Asia. Our booth will showcase the value of “.hk” and introduce domain name security solutions.

Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme 2022-23

Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme 2022-23 is officially completed. The award presentation ceremony will be held on 24 April 2023 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Apart from the award presentation, HKIRC will be partnering with Dialogue in the Dark to organize the “Digital Accessibility Experience Booth”. The booth will allow participants to experience the difficulties faced by people with disabilities in using the Internet in their daily lives.

We are pleased to announce that HKIRC will co-host the regional forum ” Asia Pacific (APAC) Domain Name System (DNS) Forum 2023″ with Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (“ICANN”) on 4-5 July 2023 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Forum is ICANN’s first physical event in Hong Kong, with participants from ICANN, Hong Kong government officials, various industry and business verticals, including DNS-related, cloud services and cybersecurity solution partners, and is expected to attract more than 300 local and overseas attendees from China, Singapore and other Asia Pacific regions and countries.

APTLD83 Conference

On 21-22 February 2023, HKIRC was invited to participate in the APTLD83 conference in Vientiane, Laos. The conference was designed to introduce members to APTLD’s key developments in 2022 and plans for 2023.APTLD members also shared the most exciting developments they have accomplished to date. HKIRC shared some cybersecurity programmes and experience in enhancing cybersecurity for SMEs with industry experts and attendees from around the world during a panel discussion on “Cybersecurity Regulations and the Role of Government”.

ICANN 76 Conference

From 11-16 March 2023, HKIRC was invited to attend the ICANN 76 Conference in Cancun, Mexico, where Sally Costerton, President and CEO of ICANN, delivered opening remarks. ICANN 76 provided a platform for members of the global internet community to discuss and make decisions on issues related to the management of the DNS. ICANN provided updates on efforts to enhance the security and stability of the DNS, including updates on the implementation of Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC), and discussed the status of the New gTLD Program with updates on the application process for new gTLDs.
